What Happens:

FREE x 6 hour Filmmaking Workshop for up to 28 Students

Theme: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Catalyst, in collaboration with Burning House Productions, is offering an exclusive workshop to schools in the South West focused on creating films that promote positive change and inclusivity. These workshops provide an opportunity to learn how to tell powerful stories that reflect the world we aspire to live in—diverse, inclusive, and filled with amazing narratives

Discover Your Unique Voice:

Students can unleash their creativity and express their unique perspectives through filmmaking. Our tailored Burning House Productions workshops encourages participants to explore their storytelling potential and develop their voices as emerging filmmakers.

Embrace Diversity in Your Storytelling:

Students will learn how to incorporate different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives into your films. Discover the richness that diverse storytelling brings to the cinematic landscape, amplifying voices that are often underrepresented in mainstream media.

Understand the Power of Inclusion:

Students will delve into the impact of inclusion and diversity in storytelling. Understand how films can not only entertain but also challenge and inspire, with inclusivity at the heart of impactful storytelling.

Films will be screened at Catalyst Festival:

The Short Films produced by students will be screened at the Festival on Thursday 3rd April, on the big screen in The Belltable and entered for the NEXTGEN PERSPECTIVES Award.

Additionally, on the day we will screen a selection of Irish Shorts and  there will be a special "Meet The Industry Panel" where students can engage with industry professionals and gain insights into their journeys.
