Dignity at Work Code of Behaviour
Every employer has a legal responsibility to ensure that the workplace, including work-related social events, affords respect and dignity to everyone, regardless of their employment status.
Clear protocols and policies should be in place specifying the responsibilities and behaviour expected of everyone in the arts and creative workplace, including those in relation to respect and dignity and, in particular, policies that deal with harmful behaviours including:
• Bullying
• Harassment
• Sexual harassment
• Victimisation
SAFE TO CREATE is a Dignity at Work programme looking to impact change on the culture and practices of the Arts and Creative sectors. It is managed by Irish Theatre Institute, in partnership with the Arts Council, Screen Ireland and Minding Creative Minds, on behalf of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
