Finding The Heart of Your Story
(so you can pitch it with clarity and purpose)
Pitching Workshop by Mary Kate O’Flanagan
This FREE workshop is aimed at writers with a completed or work in progress script who want to effectively pitch to the industry.
Pitching is not a skill in a separate silo from creativity. It's about knowing what you're writing, why it gripped you and how you envision it will speak to the audience. We get lost in the dream of creating and we emerge blinking but unable to communicate succinctly and effectively what this is and why it should get made.
After the workshop, all participants will pitch for 60 seconds to the main Screenwriting Industry Day audience and Judging Panel (a selection of our Special Guests) and a small Bursary will be presented to the winner later that evening at our Reception in The Belltable before our main feature screening.
