The 2022 edition of the Catalyst International Film Festival announces awards in the categories of film and screenplay. Based in Limerick, Catalyst International Film Festival hosted the 3rd edition of the festival in person and online from April 1- 2 2022
Best Irish Short: Scrap (IRL)
Best International Short: Davey’s Lullaby (USA)
Best Documentary: In the silence of an abyssale sea (BELGIUM)
Spirit of the Festival: Lamb (SWEDEN)
Jury Special Mention: Cleaner (IRL)
Emerging Filmmaker Award: Underground Éire (IRL)
Audience Award: Act Of God (USA)
Best Short Screenplay:
Winner - Pediment by Derek Ugochukwu
Runner Up – 3 Down by Denise Deegan
Dr Susan Liddy, Festival Founder Director said: “Catalyst International Film Festival has enjoyed presenting a hybrid version of the festival to the audience in Limerick and to the online audience all over Ireland. This is truly a unique festival that celebrates diversity in film making and our 3rd edition of the festival presented a strong programme both in the film programme and our industry events.”
